Networking news: Business First kicks off Burnley event
Two members of the Business First team were flying the flag at a networking event in Burnley last week.
Regional manager Michael Woodvine and Blackburn Business First centre manager Georgia Kaye Berry attended SHOUT Network - Focus on Burnley. The networking event was held at Burnley FC's ground, Turf Moor and brought together businesses from across the region.
The pair kicked off the event by making plenty of new contacts to share with our Business First centre tenants. All of the Business First team is here to help tenants work together and support each other.
As a result of their networking, Michael and Georgia secured more great leads for tenants. What's more, the event gave them chance to raise the profile of Business First centres and services.
About SHOUT Networking
SHOUT Network runs events across the North West. Locations include Preston, Liverpool, Burnley, Blackpool and Blackburn. Events focus on building relationships and helping North West firms work together. While many networking events can be formal affairs, SHOUT breaks down these stereotypes.
On the subject of networking, the website reads:
"We’re aware many people have a fear of networking. They expect to stand in a corner with no one to speak to. Or, feel pressured into talking to people they don’t know. That’s absolutely NOT what Shout is about.
"There isn’t any awkwardness at our meetings. They’re friendly, professional and provide a vibrant environment, conducive to engaging with like-minded people and developing your business prospects too."
In fact, SHOUT runs regular events from our Burnley centre, as well as selected events at other Business First centres too. To find out more, contact Richard at SHOUT Burnley - richard@shoutnetwork.co.uk to enquire about events and membership.
