Business First sponsors Big NHS Walk

ELHT&Me, your local hospital charity, is holding its first Big NHS Walk on Sunday 23 June, sponsored by Business First.

Everyone is welcome to join the charity challenge for a great cause, which will see two teams depart from different East Lancashire hospitals to embark on a scenic 12-mile walk to the same finish line.

Choose to set off from either Burnley or Blackburn hospital, then enjoy a healthy hike through some of the most beautiful parts of East Lancashire.

Both walks are set to finish at Business First's Ribble Court centre, on Shuttleworth Mead in Padiham, where refreshments will be available, as well as buses to transport walkers back to their respective starting point.

It costs £15 to take part if you sign up today while the early bird rate still applies, or £20 from tomorrow onwards. 

All money raised will go to ELHT&Me, a charity set up to make East Lancashire's hospitals better for patients. Recent work undertaken by the charity includes the opening of a children's ward play area at Blackburn, and new baby bays at Burnley.
